Spa Girl Gourmet – Product Review and Giveaway

spagirltoteI am not sure if it is my background in skin care, or my eternal quest to help all women bring out their inner Diva, but I get so excited when I am asked to do a review for new skin care products. When Spa Girl Gourmet owner and founder Di Ana Ford contacted me I just could not wait to try her line of skin care and spa products! I have to say, it has been a long time since I have been this impressed with an all natural product that compares to the super pricey dayspa brands.

I was so excited when I came home exhausted from a busy day and long party Friday night to find my little box waiting for me on my porch. I had foolishly worn six inch heels (always a Diva) all day, including to a large party where I was on my feet for a solid 3 hours. Being that I am BARELY 5’2, and my Hostess and friend is a beautifully towering 5’11 runway model (seriously) I thought it would be a good idea to wear my cutest heels for the occasion. Needless to say when I arrived home at 11pm my poor little feet were not happy with me – but I forgot all about them as I tore into my package!spagirlhibuscus

Di Ana sent me such a great assortment of goodies that I wasn’t sure what to even start with. As my feet started talking to me again I chose the Hibiscus & Silk Exfoliating Body Polish in Exotic scent. Now, I realize this is probably not the intended use, however I ran a hot foot bath and put about a tablespoon of scrub into the water and let my feet soak. It was absolutely amazing. I can’t even explain how wonderful this scrub smells, but how it relaxed my feet after such a hard day was terrific. I followed up with the Nail and Hand Butter (again, probably not the intended use, but my poor little tootsies were taking priority) and slid on some fuzzy socks – no more aching feet. I put all of my goodies into the SpaGirl Tote which has an awesome silver inner lining – perfect for keeping spills contained for travel and insulating so your goodies don’t get too hot or cold, and went to bed.

spagirllipsetThe next day my feet still felt (and smelled!) awesome, so I dug around in my SpaGirl Tote to decide what to try next. I was starting to feel a bit puny, afraid this cold I had been battling off had finally caught up with me. My lips were really dry, so I decided to try the Sweet Sugar Lip Scrub and Mango Butter Lip Balm… I will never be without these two products again! I am a Burt’s Bees chapstick addict. I don’t think a waking hour goes by that I do not apply Burt’s Bees – but that is because after an hour, my lips start to feel dry again… well, not since I put this Mango Butter Lip Balm on! The Sweet Sugar Lip Scrub was a little weird, as I had never used anything quite like it before, but once I put on the Lip Balm, I was floored at how moist and HEALTHY my lips felt. Even hours later, they still felt great – without needing to put more on. Mike even stole a kiss to help with the review… he gave two thumbs up as well. *grin*

And finally, as I got ready for bed I wanted to check out the Pumpkin Enzyme Peel. At first glance (sniff!) I wanted to spagirlpumpkinrun for the Cool Whip and just dive in! Truly it smells EXACTLY like pumpkin pie – not the plasticy-medical-hospitaly smell that most enzyme peels have. I slathered it on and immediately felt the tingle. Since I have had an enzyme peel before, and Di Ana warned me gently in her email, I knew what to expect as far as it getting really hot. My skin turned red as well, but when it came time to wipe it off I used a soft cold washcloth, and the skin underneath was so tight and smooth – like I had just been to the dayspa. I was amazed to see this entire jar – good for MANY uses – was only $20.00. Honestly, all of the prices in this catalog could easily be DOUBLED and still be a “deal” on such awesome quality.

I still have a couple goodies in my Tote, but I am already so super impressed that I am giving a definite Diva Daisy Award!  I am super impressed with the products, and the Hostess Benefits and Business Opportunity are equally as terrific.  I would definitely recommend this company to absolutely anyone.

I KNOW top shelf skin care, body care, and fragrances when I experience them after investing 6 yrs with MKC, 4 with Jafra, 2 with Warm Spirit, and a “minute” with Avon!(lol)Di Ana’s line is SERIOUS stuff and the business is FIERCE! You owe it to your skin to try these products-it will NOT be disappointed!(smile) Diane in NYC.(718)716-7152 (24/7 Success Hotline)
