  1. These would be good to do parties on the go as well. If you company does those.

  2. I still haven’t figured out how to use this for my business. We have four catalogs that are good for an entire year. I think the total pages for all the catalogs is well over 150 pages. I need to think about this more in the next month – as our new catalogs will start coming real soon!

  3. I loved this idea when I heard it years ago… I’ve never made them, because most of the time, we sit at a table during our presentations. But I might have to revisit it, and tweak it a bit to fit my business.

  4. Your website is GOLD! Thank you so much, in my business & LOS parties aren’t really explaned a lot, its just something you do your first month & then you do WOM orders. After 2 years I was wondering why I was getting nowhere, its because our parties were so BORING that noone wanted to host one!
Thanks Lynsey, You just saved my business!

  5. I loved this video. I’ve been thinking about using lapboards and always wondered what should go in them. You know so it’s not so “fluffy”…

  6. Hello! I love this idea and wondered if this could work for Hostess Packets? It can give them a place to pass around a catalog with order forms etc, and keep her party checklist handy? What do you think Lynsey?

  7. This is a very good idea. In the long run it will save on guest folders and extra catalogs lost. And as Lynsey said, we could always give a catalog if they ask for it. I would think this is cost effective (lap boards, pens, catalogs, fliers) after the second party and it would be minimal cost after the first quarter you have used this…

    Great idea…

  8. I love this idea, but aren’t they heavy to carry?

Hey Colleen! Thanks for stopping by! I have not found them to be too heavy (I only carry 12) but I have also put them into a rolling demo kit like the Stanley Work Station :)

  9. OMG, just visited TheBooster.com and ideas are just oozing out of my ears! My catalog is not full size either. Our catalogs don’t have pricing in them because of our 3 tier pricing so I am going to use the bottom of the page to put the price they will pay that night! This will make it easier for the guests and they won’t have to try to find the prices on the price sheet!

  10. I created mine as true lapboards. I cut the front off the binders and put everything in the pockets and my monthly sales flyer in the clear pouch on the front.
My catalogs are not full size,it would be hard to get them to look right in the plastic page protectors.
But I LOVE using the boards and having everything easy and right there!!

My catalogs were not full size either, so I ended up gluing them onto a piece of paper and actually using two catalogs for each one (as one side is obviously taped down) It was a bit time consuming, but it was also nice to add notes, stickers, and stuff from places like TheBooster.com :)
