Today is the day for you to “Sign your check” as part of the New Moon Celebration and the Law of Abundance.  Here is an article I wrote last year about the Law of Abundance – what it is, why you should participate, and how you can get started right now on making 2012 your best year ever.

As a huge believer and follower of the Law of Attraction, I was excited to read up on the Law of Abundance that my local radio was discussing as I drove my angels to school this morning.  The “Morning Guys“  from WABB in Mobile, Alabama  use it and swear by it as a way to bring success and wealth to your life.

I came home and read several sites on the Law of Abundance, looking for more information.  I found several sites that I never knew existed – including www.abundancesecrets.com, www.law-of-abundance-living.com and more.  I was excited to read the same kind of stories that I have known, loved, and LIVED with the Law Of Attraction.

One site summed up the Law of Abundance by stating:  The universe exists on the principle of abundance. It is by giving that you receive. This is the law of abundance, which stipulates that we cannot enjoy the riches of the universe unless we are willing to share them with others.

Basically: it is an Ancient Chinese tradition to guarantee prosperity in the New Year.

Bringing it to the 21st Century: The Law of Abundance Check!

I want to challenge you all to join me TODAY, January 23rd to celebrate the New Moon by writing your own Law of Abundance Check.  Here is how it works:
1. Take a Blank Check.
2. You shouldn’t date the check at all – (why limit your abundance to a single day?)
3. Make the check out to yourself.
4. Use your full legal name.
5. Leave the dollar box and line blank.
6. In the memo area write, “paid in full.”
7. Sign the check, “Law of Abundance”

That’s it! You will need to keep the check with you at all times in the New Year (except when bathing & sleeping), so put it in your wallet, purse, planner – whatever you keep closest to you at all times.

You MUST complete this task before the first NEW moon of the year (which is TODAY – January 23rd).: Experts say, we should complete it within 24 hours of the new moon.

Last week I had the privilege of going to see Randy Draper, Diamond Executive Director with Premier Jewelry, Inspirational Speaker, and Founder of HeartSpring Media. He was speaking at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas for their weekly Power Lunch, and I just HAPPENED to be in Fort Worth, Texas the week he was there. (My friend Jan Hatchett, Your Favorite Jewelry Lady, was more than a little bit jealous!  )

Randy mesmerized us for nearly an hour with his stories of drive-through windows (WHATCHOO NEEEEED?!) to learning the power of serving from his Grandmother, Lois Keeling Draper.  His stories were funny, heart warming, and powerful as he detailed living a life with an attitude of gratitude and service can take your life from worry and despair to excitement and opportunity.  We laughed (a lot!) cried (a little) and all left *snapping* our way through the hallways to our cars.

Everyone is a leader to someone. Leadership is in each one of us. The amount that you utilize this gift to be a leader will all depend on you. Utilizing the principles of the Law of Attraction in a leadership role consciously will attract more results and success. These principles can carry on from being a leader in your business to being a leader at home.

Here are the 10 Leadership Tips from the  Law of Attraction:

1. Take Responsibility
This is one of the principles many have a hard time dealing with. You create you reality and therefore you must take responsibility for your reality and actions. The sooner you get you control the output by your thoughts, feelings, words and actions the sooner you can create the life and business you want. Lead by example and you will have a great team by your side.

2. Be a Partner
You may be a leader but you are also a partner. Do no try to do everything on your own. Ask for feedback, ideas and work together with your team to meet your goals. Cooperation and collaboration are necessary.

3. Be Aware of Your Energy
Pay attention to your energy. If you are in a bad mood, your energy can and will transfer to those around you. Be consciously aware of your energy and choose to make it a positive one and spread positive vibes. The higher your vibration the more connected and grounded you are, the more inspired you are and because of this you will see greater success.

4. Be Pleasant
If you are leading by example and utilizing the Law of Attraction, than having an awesome personality will be easy for you to do. When you are focused on abundance, taking action and the possibilities people will be drawn to you.

5. Be Understanding
Put yourself in their shoes. Better yet ask them what you can do for them to really understand where they are coming from and how you can better assist them. Do not be judgmental, rather be open minded and concentrate on solutions.

6. Share Your Visions
Create a plan, a vision of where you want to go with your project, business, product, service, etc. Have a plan for your advertising, marketing and more. Share these plans with those working with you and get their feedback and mastermind on improving the plans. By having a set direction that is agreed on will promote team work, responsibility, confidence and action.

7. Surpass Expectations
Whatever you do, do it to the max. Go beyond what people expect of you. Give more value than what is asked. You will be setting the Law in motion to provide you with more than what you expect and be setting a great example.

8. Make Passionate Choices
When you are passionate and inspired about your choices it comes through in your presentation and implementation. When others see you are passionate about the decisions you are making it will help for those decisions to be embraced and understood.

9. Harness Positive Self-Talk
Do not let doubt, lack or other negative thoughts enter into your self-talk. When you perceive something to be negative, look for the positive or create a positive. Keeping your self-talk positive and focused will make the rest of your day much brighter and easier.

10. Be Open to the Possibilities
Have an open-mind to the Law of Attraction and what it can do for you as Leader and in your life. Being resistant is a surefire way to get the opposite of what you want. Be open to utilizing these principles in your life so you can create the success and happiness you deserve.

The first step toward getting somewhere is to decide that you’re not going to stay where you are.

You’re a product of your environment. So choose an environment that will best develop you toward your goals.

Analyze your life in terms of your environment. Are the things around you helping you toward your success or are they holding you back?

Your world today is a living expression of how you are using and have used your mind. It’s something that you can change at any time.

You don’t have to remain a captive of your environment.

Don’t say “If I could change, I would change,” say “I can change, and I will change.”

Spend today taking notice of your environment. Starting with your desk – can you see the top of it? Clutter and disorganization are major road blocks for business. Set a timer and spend one hour working on improving your immediate environment. Don’t worry if you do not finish – work an hour tomorrow as well. It took you a while to build that mess… it will take some time to tame it. Make it a priority to get a good work/life environment!
